Competitive Components is Franchise Distributor for Cooltron Fans

Cooltron was established in 1998 in California.  Cooltron offers:
  • DC Brushless Fans.  Frame size from 20~172 mm, thickness from 6~55 mm, with variety voltage design of DC 3.3/5/12/24/48V.
  • DC Blowers.  Various design and voltage range of DC 5/12/24/48V for different applications.
  • AC fans and Blowers.  AC 110, 220V.  115/230V dual voltage (available for some models)
  • Fan Accessories.  Guards/Filters/Power Cords
Cooltron fans can be offered as an alternative to ADDA fans, Mechatronics fans, Sunon fans, Comair Rotron fans, Jamicon fans, Orion fans, EBM/Papst fans.

Fan Characteristics:
  • Air Flow - The total cubit of flow moved in specified time.  Air flow is needed to determine the amount of flow required for heat dissipation.
  • Air Pressure - The pressure of the flow while the fan is in static mode.  Air pressure is need to determine how much resistance created by the system.
  • System Resistance - If the system resistance is small, then a fan with higher airflow and lower air pressure is needed.  If the system is large, then a fan with lower airflow and higher air pressure is needed.
  • Performance Curve - The performance curve simulates different operating points to bring out the curve by performance test chamber (typically 8 pts).
Fan Mechanical
  • Fan blade
  • Fan frame
  • Bearing
Category of Flow Direction
  • Axial - The air flows along and through the shaft direction.
  • Blower - The air flows in from the shaft direction and out from the radial direction.
Fan frame
  • Standard frame with rib type
  • Standard frame with flange type
Bearing Types
  • Ball Bearing.  Advantages: 1) Suitable for low rpm, 2) high precision, 3) seal type, no oil leakage.
  • Sleeve Bearing.  Advantages: 1) low cost, 2) easier production.
  • Hydraulic Bearing.  Advantages: 1) suitable for high rpm, 2) long life span, 3) low vibration.
